Kloudio is on a mission to empower business teams with the full spectrum of analytics capabilities. We believe that we can redefine how technical teams enable business users to get more direct access to the data they need to automate mundane activities in data preparation, reporting, and synchronization. We see this as a $1B opportunity driven due to the fact that every business's data is extremely fragmented, messy, and in silos. 

 

In the last year alone, we’ve doubled our customer count and have repeatedly gotten major brands via our Sales motion. In order to support this level of growth, Kloud.io is looking for a VP of Engineering to lead our Engineering organization both in the US and India (a local Director is the day to day management over the India team). If you have rapidly scaled the people, process, and patterns for high quality engineering execution, we are looking for you. This role will report directly to Sathish Raju, our CTO co-founder. 

 

 

What you will do:

 

  • Lead our overall Engineering organization and manage, coach, and support a team of engineers and managers
  • Lead with a customer first orientation for our products and a caring people focused orientation for our teams
  • Rapidly scale the engineering organization by hiring and retaining exceptional talent and designing organizations, systems, and tools to help us scale effectively
  • Establish a world class engineering culture dedicated to craft, quality, and impact
  • Bring a high level of technical expertise, guidance, and decision making to all areas of the organization including infrastructure, architecture, apps, plugins, pipelines, and devops. Establish and execute on our long term technical plans.
  • Work closely with Product, Design, and GTM leadership on strategic planning, product development, and execution
  • Work closely with our executive team on technology alliances and strategic partnerships

Responsibilities

Skills and experience you possess:

 

  • 10+ years experience and 4+ years leadership experience (Dir, Sr Dir, VP, etc.) at a startup, preferably during the rapid team and business scaling phase. Preferably have managed a 30+ person engineering organization. (BONUS: you built the engineering org from 30 engineers to 100 engineers)
  • Passion for product excellence and experience working in organizations with strong collaboration between Engineering, Product, Design, and Business functions
  • Highly technical with expertise in infrastructure, architecture, pipelines, data models, modern web dev (React/Redux/GraphQL), and devops. Strong passion for the craft of engineering.
  • Demonstrated excellence in effectively scaling the engineering organization through hiring and organizational design. Strong passion for the people and culture side of engineering organizations.
  • Strong collaboration and empathic leadership skills. You know when to speak up as well as to respect divergent viewpoints.
  • Direct experience with building SaaS products (BONUS: you developed products with SaaS and Hybrid architectures). Direct experience working on customer-facing data and analytics products is a huge plus.
