Sales Account Executive - Financial Software (Remote)

Description

Our client is looking to hire a new business Sales Account Executive. This requires past experience selling financial software to financial firms such as Banks. This position reports directly to the President of the company. 

 

This NYC area client provides credit risk and analytics software to the financial services sector. They closed their Series A round of funding last year.

 

 

Job Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Create and execute on a detailed territory plan to maximize revenue in your territory 
  • Build relationships with your prospects, learning about their needs and discussing the appropriate software solutions to meet their needs and solve their problems. 
  • Conduct discovery calls, product demos, and proposal reviews in order to close qualified opportunities in a timely manner
  • Build pipeline and manage the sales cycles with all opportunities, ensuring clients buy at the agreed upon time frame
  • Collaborate closely with onboarding, training, client services, etc, to ensure solutions are being used effectively by your new clients
  • Keep an organized pipeline and report progress to your sales manager on a regular basis

Responsibilities

Required Experience and Skills:

 

  • BA or BS degree required
  • 5+ years of new business sales experience in fintech with experience selling to banks and financial institutions
  • Proven track record of success exceeding new business sales targets
  • Strong understanding of the capital markets, preferably the private capital markets
  • Understanding of financial data and analytics and the credit risk space is preferred
  • Strong technical aptitude and understanding of reporting systems (CRM, etc)
  • Strong collaborative, leadership, and communication skills (written and verbal)
