French to English Medical Translator

Description

  • Translate a variety of documents from source language to target language for the Life & Health Claims department of RBC Insurance
  • Perform audits within the team through selective revision to ensure that the work product meets the highest translation quality standards
  • Enhance partner/client experience by meeting client specific service level agreements and effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders and business partners using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close
  • Research terminology, document new terms and communicate to team as applicable
  • Optimize the use of all translation resources, namely in-house terminology database, reference materials, information technology tools, and existing documentation, etc.)
  • Exercise integrity and strictly adhere to RBCI privacy and confidentiality procedures in the handling of a client information in order to guard against any breach of confidentiality

Specific Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in Translation, relevant degree or equivalent related years of experience
  • Superior written French communication skills
  • Optimize the use of all translation resources, namely in-house terminology database, reference materials, information technology tools, and existing documentation, etc.).
  • Experience in the insurance and/or medical translation fields similar applications is required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Fineos, and other applications within RBC Insurance including RBC Connect
  • Excellent ability to work within a highly collaborative team environment and deliver the highest high degree of client experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and meeting tight deadlines
  • Adaptability and ability to work independently to achieve success.
  • Strong analytical thinking and results driven
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, Outlook, Access & PowerPoint
  • Ability to quickly learn software applications
  • Please note you must be fluently bilingual in both French and English, written and spoken, to be considered for this role. The successful candidates for the most part will be working remotely.
