Translation Associate with French (m/f/x)

Description

Manage quality of translation projects using our translation tools and systems
-
Recruit, onboard and train a pool of freelance translators for your target locale
-
Monitor velocity of translation projects, coordinate work availability, handling complaints of late deliveries/bad quality translation

Communicate regularly and professionally with colleagues via all communication channels on assigned projects
-
Compile weekly and monthly and ad hoc reports as appropriate
-
Interface with translation agencies on ad-hoc requests, incl. cost estimates
-
Ensure all adhoc translations are delivered on time, and manage granular deadlines and quality expectations
-
Ensure communication is clear and concise on project requirements to vendors
-
Help identify technical and process issues or blockers
-
Assist in managing translation maintenance activities
-
Proactively participate in improvements and developments in the Translation team
-
Help educate stakeholders on translation processes nuances and best practices

Build good working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders

Ability to cope under pressure and to work within tight deadlines

Ability to work with remote teams across multiple time zones

Fluent in English and native French (fr-FR)

Bachelor's degree or higher in translation, linguistics, communications or a related field
-
6-12 months of relevant experience as translator, editor, translation coordinator or similar

Solid knowledge of MS Office
-
Experience with CAT-Tools (e.g. Smartling) is a huge bonus
-
A passion for technology and efficiency is highly desirable
