Description

  • Manage and be responsible for the growth of the platform and liaise with stakeholders to complete delivery targets.
  • Balance user needs and business constraints, writing clear user stories to articulate the needs and positioning features in a prioritised log of work, in a phased approach.
  • Management of external suppliers and freelancers to deliver improvements to the product.
  • Deliver assigned projects to agreed budgets, timescales and quality expectations.
  • Track and communicate plans and budgets with diligence and discipline; balancing natural tensions between available budgets and quality.
  • Bring control to the whole delivery process, through effective management of all required deliverables and proactive handling of issues, risk and change.
  • Develop and achieve buy-in for the vision, delivery goals and design for your product(s), ensuring alignment with those for related educational products.
  • Interpret architectural frameworks, qualitative and quantitative data, user research and business analysis to inform the successful design, delivery and operation of your product.
  • Ensure products are designed to relevant standards, including Technology Code of Practice, Safeguarding, Data Protection and Accessibility legislation.
  • Ensure that features and functionality have been tested prior to the deployment to a production environment for your product(s).
  • Host / design discovery workshops for our Corporate Partners to demonstrate how their funding support our students.
  • Schedule, plan and run user research workshops with our key audiences (students and teachers) to help improve our product.
  • Co-create the platform content strategy and make sure this is implemented working closely with marketing, content and E-Learning Design functions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and updating of content across the platforms according to indications from engagement data.

Responsibilities

You will be able to plan effectively and have the determination to deliver and make our product vision come to life. You'll be great at managing relationships and be an excellent communicator with a passion to work collaboratively.
You will enjoy data analysis and seeing the results of your efforts, putting student and partner satisfaction at the heart of your work. You'll want to create social impact by creating a product that inspires our student network. You will ensure that all of your designs are on-brand, high quality and suitable for teens.
You'll be a methodical and creative person with a commercial mindset - you'll want to work for a purpose.
You'll have a background in product management with a passion for design and be used to working in, or managing multidisciplinary teams.

We offer

Contract: 9 months, part-time (3 days / 18 hours per week).
We're open to freelance applications if it's within our budget/salary bracket.
Salary: £35k pro rata (Actual £21,000 before tax)
Reports to: Head of Operations
