Description

  • Ideate creative ideas and event concepts that are fresh, unique, and relevant for the brand.
  • Drive entire project lifecycles, from event vision and concept to timeline management, budgets, execution and reporting.
  • Source and negotiate venues, vendors and suppliers.
  • Manage all pre-event planning, organising guest speakers and full briefings.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Communications Director, Social Media adviser and other stakeholders to define needs, implement the plan and adapt where needed.
  • Lead promotional activities for the event.
  • Coordinate event staff.
  • Produce post-event evaluation to inform future events.
  • Contribute to an environment that focuses entirely on the audience experience and delivering extraordinary events.

Responsibilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and influential presenter.
  • Project management experience, including developing strategies, operational plans and compelling presentations.
  • Creative approach with an obsession for details and strive for outstanding and magnificent execution.
  • Proven experience with virtual events platforms such as Microsoft Teams, GoToMeeting, GoToWebinar or Zoom.
  • Very high proficiency in English (native speaker or equivalent); good knowledge of other European languages is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with design software (e.g. Photoshop, InDesign) is a plus.
  • Ability to write accurate and engaging material in a variety of styles and formats for a wide range of stakeholders, and to interpret specialist/technical information in Plain English for a variety of audiences.
  • Organisational skills, with the capacity to prioritise and work across multiple projects.
  • Project and campaign management skills.
  • The ability to work well under pressure in order to meet deadlines.
  • Sound understanding of marketing and promotion techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Passion for working with people.
  • University degree, preferably in marketing or event management.
  • Minimum 6 years proven experience managing events – both virtual and in person - either in house or at a marketing agency.
