Description

  • Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, licensing & subscriptions, vendors, software, & hardware, maintain hardware & software inventory.
  • Monitoring and maintaining networks and servers.
  • Upgrading, installing and configuring new hardware and software to meet company objectives.
  • Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats. Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls.
  • Creating user accounts.
  • Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize computer systems.
  • Documenting processes, as well as backing up and archiving data, developing data retrieval and recovery procedures and run regular checks on network and data security.
  • Researching and evaluating emerging technologies.
  • Developing implementing and audit IT policy and best practice guides for the organization.
  • Designing training programs, manuals, and workshops for staff, and provide technical support when needed.
  • Develop and execute disaster procedures and maintain data backups.
  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions.
  • Provide effective onboarding and training for new starters.

Responsibilities

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms, especially Office 365
  • Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and databackup/recovery.
  • Ability to respond to help desk requests.
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Ability to communicate professionally, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team with minimal supervision.
  • Proactive attitude with problem solving approach through thinking outside the box.
  • Ability to work in an agile environment (adaptability, collaboration with stakeholders).
  • Motivation, dedication and a desire to make a difference.
