Description

Responsible for performing/supervising all fixtures and manage the post-fixture activities for bulk vessels chartered by the Company.

Develop and maintain a system to provide the Company with up-to-date visibility of all vessels chartered.

Keep constant contact with brokers, owners and regularly report on actual positions, freight markets, trends, and analysis.

Introduce best practice methods and or adjust existing processes accordingly.

Monitor open positions, including spot, time charter contracts.

Efficiently and timely convey voyage instructions, charter party terms, and other information relevant to the voyage and/or employment to the vessels to other parties and maintain a close dialogue with them.

Ensure cost-efficient fixture calculations and accurate reporting.

Ensure freight and demurrage are invoiced correctly and received on time.

Develop and maintain relations with customers.

Support an internal network of traders with freight rates, contract review, and shipping information.
Responsibilities
-
The ideal candidate should have min 3 years of relevant experience in Dry Bulk Chartering/Broking.
-
Experience in dealing with vessel owners/brokers/agents, especially in Handysize, Suppramax, and Ultramax vessels.

Possess profound knowledge of chartering dry bulk cargo shipments, including demurrage and Laytime calculations.

Excellent English knowledge, French is a plus.

Academic qualification: Graduate in any discipline; Maritime Studies/ Commerce/Economics or equivalent is preferred.
