Human Resources Manager

Description

  • Implement and drive HR Department initiatives that align with business strategies including but not limited to employee relations, performance management, compensation practices, HR policies and practices, training, and full employee life cycle processes.
  • Acts as a primary point of contact and provides counsel and consulting services to internal partners across the organization as well provides support to employees.
  • Drive employee engagement efforts and ensure alignment to nVent culture.
  • Support local recruiting for front-line positions that delivers full compliance, strong diversity and effective selection.
  • Partners with Payroll; HRIS; and Compensation and Benefits functions as needed to provide solutions for clients.
  • Actively participates in annual budget planning/labor forecasting process with business partners.
  • Promote and foster the nVent Continuous Excellence culture through an empowering, open minded and proactive approach and by acting as a catalyst for change management.
  • Lead HR project work.

Responsibilities

  • Academic background: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Business or related field.
  • Ideally 5+ years experience in or with human resources, administrative, and/or project coordinator role.
  • Manufacturing experienced preferred.
  • Bi-lingual highly preferred.
    • Knowledge of pay and employment laws, practices, and legal requirements.
    • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
    • Skilled in fostering collaborative environments that drive business decisions.
    • Ability to utilize strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with people at all levels within the organization and outside the organization.
  • Abilities to meet the physical and environmental demands:
    • Much of the work will be in a normal office environment and will include extended periods of sitting, standing, and repetitive motion tasks.
    • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
