The Transport Security Manager will provide an effective, timely, and holistic operational security provision in order to meet operational requirements.

• Good first degree (or SQL Level 5 equivalent) qualification and/or at least 3 years’ experience in a security/nuclear related environment

• Post Graduate security qualification preferred

• Completed NSAN Triple Bar

• Member of a Professional Affiliation (e.g. UK’s Security Institute)

• Advising on the delivery of operational security arrangements within the nuclear or highly regulated transports (e.g. dangerous goods, critical national infrastructure)

• Assistance in developing high performing teams

• Advising on complex regulatory and stakeholder relationships

• Planning, training and responding to major security events.

• Responding to major nuclear safety/security incidents at an operational level.

• Working and coordinating operations with armed police services and stakeholders

• Working with regulators/stakeholders in high risk complex environments.

• Experience in a comparable, high risk environment.

• Expert in nuclear security regulations

• Armed policing operations and intelligence

• Working knowledge of international nuclear security obligations/processes

• Working knowledge of the Nuclear, Rail or Shipping industry/sector

• Experience of working in a multi discipline organisation

• Must attain Nuclear Suitably Qualified and Experienced (NSQEP) Status within 12 months of appointment

• Highly developed oral, written and presentation skills with the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner with a wide range of audiences

• Ability to propose, develop and implement effective Security and Resilience strategies in pursuit of goals within a highly pressurised environment
