About the Role
UNICEF is recruiting for a Communications and Media Manager to develop and manage a comprehensive, growing and sustainable Communications Programme to develop the UNICEFs strong brand in Ireland even further in order to generate increased fundraising for the organisation. The post holder will work to increase brand recognition and contribute to the core Strategic Objective of driving spontaneous awareness to underpin UNICEFs fundraising objectives.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Communications and Media Manager will develop the UNICEF brand through multiple communications channels including conventional (TV / Radio / print), Social Media, and Digital. He/she will also work with the Public Fundraising team under the direction of the Executive Director to ensure the integration of Fundraising, media, and communications.
Responsibilities
To succeed in this role, the post holder must have extensive previous experience of communications and media management, and a proven ability to work on their own initiative. They will have strong experience working with external stakeholders, will be solution-focused, and have excellent verbal, written and digital communication know how. Additionally, the post-holder will be self-motivated and passionate about UNICEF’s global mission and have the ability to raise funds by telling the UNICEF.
